Journey with God

We can get caught up in theological debates. There is a tendency to measure ones relationship with God based on our position on Post Trib, Pre-trib or mid-trib. Does God still speak today or has the gifts of the spirit past away. Do you believe in prophecy or not. We get caught up in so many aruments that have nothing to do with someone’s relationship with God. In the midst of all of this, God is asking, are you willing to go on a tourney with me. I’m starting a podcast called Long Walk with God. God is wanting to journey with us. In the Old Testament, God called the Israelites out of Egypt to journey with Him to a Land that was promised. Abraham, God called Abram out of the only land he was familiar with to a Land God was going to show him. Gods’ heart is for us to journey with him. He is looking for those who are willing to give Him a “Yes”

It’s in the midst of our journey with God, we have the opportunity to see revival. This revival isn’t just in the general Body of Chris, but in our local gatherings as well. But revival first starts in our own lives. In order for this to happen we have to be willing to go on a journey with Him. Some times that looks like leaving a “Land” your familiar with to go to a place He will show you.

However, we have to get out of the shuttle bus mentality for of Christianity. One in which we place on the church and the pastor to make things convienent, where church becomes one of many options we get to choose from as to how we will spend our Sunday. We have to get to a place of spiritual maturity where church and gathering together is a “Get to”. A must in our journey with God the Father.

Scripture presents the journey with God as one marked by divine guidance, sustained strength, and unwavering companionship through all circumstances.
